Francesca Woodman (1958-1981) captured female angst and loneliness like lightning in a bottle. Her portraits leave a lot of room in your mind for the cob webs of love lorn sorrow to begin forming. Her oeuvre, containing mostly self portraits, consists of only about 120 photographs. She leaped from a window in New York City at the age of 22.
